FR Cloth is a special fabric that can delay flame combustion. It is mainly used to make protective clothing, special functional clothing, and industrial fabrics. It is widely used in metallurgy, machinery, mining, the chemical industry, fire protection, clothing, petroleum, electricity, natural gas, coal, etc., aviation, shipping, and other industries. At present, the main flame-retardant fabrics are: finishing flame-retardant fabrics, such as pure cotton, polyester cotton, etc.; intrinsic flame-retardant fabrics, such as aramid, acrylic cotton, Dupont Kevlar, Nomex, Australia PR97, etc. Fire retardant fabric is a fabric that goes out immediately after leaving the fire, does not ignite, and does not continue to ignite, but these functions have limitations.
1. All kinds of fabrics can be treated with flame retardants, so the flame retardant function is also closely related to the physical and chemical properties of materials. Although the same flame retardant is used for fabrics of different materials, their flame retardant effects are also different.
2. Flame retardant does not mean non-combustible, but prolongs the ignition time. For example, it will take 20-30 seconds to catch fire after reaching the ignition point of the material, so as to gain time to take off the burning clothes and reduce the degree of burns.
3. It will be extinguished immediately after leaving the fire, depending on the temperature and airflow (oxygen) of the fire scene at that time and the length of time in this high-temperature environment. The effect of flame retardant exceeds its limit or the time it can function, and the flame retardant effect disappears, which is no different from ordinary fabrics.
4. It depends on the conditions and environment of the fire site. If the oxygen supply in the fire site is sufficient and the residual temperature is too high, the possibility of continued combustion still exists.
